Last 17th March, I had the pleasure of traveling to Paris to collaborate on a friend's recital. I met Olivia Kahler online and when we got in contact and I suggested participating in one of her recitals, she loved the idea.
The theme of the concert was "American Music" so, after a great selection of american songs sung by Olivia and the pianist Thomas Tacquet, we play an Aria by Stravinsky's "The Rake's Progress".
Just as an addition to the program, I performed "Swing-Lines" by Jean-François Lézé, a piece based on an american style by french composer and percussionist, living in Portugal. This was a composition that my very own university bassoon teacher, Pedro Silva, ordered for a project of his.
